Beyonce Scores Fifth #1

After ruling pole position for a month and a half with two different songs, T.I. is dethroned by Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)". This gives Beyonce her fifth #1 hit as a solo artist in addition to the four she scored as a member of Destiny's Child. The track was the week's greatest airplay gainer and was aided by strong sales as well. Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" continues to rise, going 7-5 this week. Britney Spears' "Womanizer" experienced a bump back into the top ten thanks to her (relatively) heavy promotion for Circus. Ms. Spears looks to be the biggest contender for Beyonce's spot next week as "Circus" the song has taken the lead on the iTunes countdown as soon as the album was released this past Tuesday.
