In the Black Eyed Peas' starry world, there is no recession, Will.I.Am is the new Bob Dylan, and "Boom Boom Pow" is not a type of Chinese chicken but a smash hit that is deserving of its nine-weeks-and-running reign of the Billboard Hot 100. In the real world, the only true thing about that statement is that "Pow" has been No. 1 for nine weeks. When will it end?
Elsewhere in the charts, Lady Gaga racks up her third top ten hit as "Lovegame" moves 22-10. Will she have enough steam to finally topple the B.E.P.'s ubiquitous track and go 3 for 3 for chart-toppers? Keri Hilson who has had great success as a song writer but has yet to make much of an impact as an artist, vaults into the top ten with the help of Kanye West and Ne-Yo going 13-7.
