The Hot 100 is hibernating for a week as no song in the top 10 moves more than one place up or down. Jay-Z marks a month at No. 1 with his Alicia Keys duet, "Empire State of Mind".Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" is in its third week as runner-up, but its gaining momentum. Last week we reported how "Romance" was doing stellar with sales, but had tepid airplay. This week, the song gets honors for being the "airplay gainer", jumping from being the 19th most played song in the country to the 13th, but its still nowhere near good enough to over take "Empire".
Kelly Clarkson reaches a new peak with "Already Gone" which moves to No. 13 while Rihanna continues to climb the charts with Rated R's second single "Hard" at No. 20.
