Kelly Clarkson Slams Ryan Tedder In New Track

     A new Kally Clarkson song has leaked online and it seems like a pretty clear swipe at songwriter Ryan Tedder ("Apologize", "Bleeding Love").

     Last year, Clarkson criticized Tedder of essentially giving her and Beyonce the same song with Clarkson's "Already Gone" and Beyonce's "Halo".  In an interview with Idolator, Tedder said he wasn't trying to get two hits with one stone.

     “It’s ludicrous. And she knows me well enough to know I’m not an idiot,” he said. “I’m not the kinda guy who’s gonna bust my ass for ten years to try and pull a fast one on Beyonce or Kelly.”

     Still, Clarkson remains upset about the whole affair.  The leaked "Wash, Rinse, and "Repeat" features a heavily auto-tuned Kelly with the biting lines, "Gimme old, rip it off, let's see if it sticks to the wall again," and "Does it sound familiar, does it linger in your ear like something you remember from just last year?"

     Clarkson has always had an independent streak.  One day her record label will dump her and she can make as many My Decembers as she wants.  "Which of these formulas is your perfect fit?  Wash, rinse, repeat.  Why are you fighting it?"

In public relations, there are times to pre-empt a controversy by coming out first a statement before you're criticized. At other times, doing that actually creates a controversy that wouldn't have happened in the first place. Kelly Clarkson and her new single "Already Gone" is an example of the latter.

It takes about five seconds listening to the song to realize Ryan Tedder had a hand in it.

All his songs are extremely melodic, have very distinct percussion, and are gobble up by Americans. He's responsible for "Apologize", "Bleeding Love", Beyonce's "Halo", and Clarkson's new track.

Anyways, Kelly heard Beyonce's song and was all like, "Girl, you stole my jam!" and Beyonce was all like, "Nuh uh girl, I got this from Ryan." and then Kelly was all like, "Ryan! You a playa! You gave me and Beyonce the same song and mine came out later so everyone's gonna be all like Kelly you stole Beyonce's song!" and then Ryan was all like,

"Already Gone” is one of the best song I’ve written or produced since “Bleeding Love” and stands tall on it’s own merits apart from “Halo”. They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically, & lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful & absurd.I think when people hear “Already Gone” they will hear what I hear-one of the greatest female vocalists on earth giving her most haunting and heart-breaking performance on a song she helped write. I challenge people to listen and form their own opinions."

If Clarkson wouldn't have said anything, this wouldn't be an issue...but she did and now Ryan Tedder is pissed and will never write for her again.
