Elvis Is Still The King

Forbes magazine has just released it's list of top earning dead celebrities, and for the second year in a row, Elvis is king. Merchandise, publishing and licensing deals, along with a new all-Elvis show on Sirus satellite radio contributed to making an incredible $52 million. In comparison, Justin Timberlake made $44 million last year and Madonna pulled in $40 million. This year marked the 30 year anniversary of Presley's death, leading to an increase of attendance at his Graceland mansion in Tennessee. In second came Charles Shultz, Peanuts creator, and in third Heath Ledger. Other musicians on the list include John Lennon at number 7 and Marvin Gaye at number 13. Cher isn't on the list because she doesn't make that much. Oh yeah, and she's not dead yet.
