Rapper Lil Wayne is slated to release two albums before the year is over, according to his label Cash Money Records.
Wayne announced in January that he was following Kanye West's lead and ditching rap to record a rock album entitled The Rebirth. The album's lead single, "Prom Queen", peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, but unfortunately, the album has been pushed back several times and is now slated for a Dec. 15 release.
In addition, Cash Money Records announced that Tha Carter IV will be out before the year is over.
"Tha Carter 4 is out December 15. We won't release The Rebirth as a double CD like people are saying. Both will be out before 2010. We're looking to take over the game completely, flood the market. The Grammys are ours next year," said Birdman, Cash Money's CEO.
How much you want to bet neither record will be out on its scheduled date?
Lil Wayne will also release his documentary, "The Carter", on Nov. 17. The documentary recieved rave reviews at Sundance and detailed his love for the "purple lady".
