American Idol contestant Adam Lambert received career advice from the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna.
The two artists were both in New York and had a connection through Madonna's guitar teacher who is now Lambert's guitarist.
"I went to her house...and she came in in, like, no make-up, yoga wear, just totally Zen...She walked inot the room and her presence is very powerful," said Lambert. "I talked to her about celebrity and how to deal with it all and she gave me a couple words of wisdom - she said, 'Just keep your eye on the prize, put your blinders up and don't get sidetracked with all the extra fuss.'"
Following his AMA performance controversy, Lambert cited Madonna and her televised kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera (which was played in newscasts in full while Lambert's homosexual kissing clip was edited) to defend his actions.
