It's almost been a year since Kanye West released "Paranoid", his last single for the auto-tune art-pop masterpiece 808s & Heartbreak in March of 2009. After upsetting Taylor Swift and the nation, West has kept a low profile. He won a Grammy for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Run This Town" with Jay-Z and Rihanna and released a live VH1: Storytellers album, but other than that, the rapper has been pretty quiet.
West's relative disapearance from the public eye makes the release of a video from his 2008 album all the more surprising. "Coldest Winter" gets a new mix and the video treatment from Nabil, who also directed the videos for "Welcome To Heartbreak" and "Paranoid". West actually doesn't appear in the video at all. Instead, a woman runs through a forest from what I can only assume are death eaters.
Rumor is that Ye is working on his fifth studio album, set to drop later in 2010. He'll have a hard topping the slew of videos 808s & Heartbreak produced. It's a body of work Lady Gaga would kill for.

great song! If I just like close my eyes and imagine Kanye being well not him then I actually like his music. He is so not a true rapper.
