Eminem's forthcoming Recovery is shaping up to be one of the best and most powerful rap albums of the year.  The newly surfaced "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna deals with physical abuse, a topic Rihanna touched on in her album Rated R.  Still, she didn't deal with it in such a raw, haunting, and emotional way as she has on this new Slim Shady duet.

"High off of love, drunk from her hate...When it's gonna good, its going great, I'm Superman with the wind at his back, she's Louis Lane, but when its bad its awful. I feel so ashamed. I snapped.  Who is that dude? I don't even know his name.  I laid hands on her," raps Eminem.

Holy cow.  This song is a home run for both artists.  They took such a sensitive subject and explored it in such an honest way.  I have a feeling Eminem is going to go a long way with new reflective attitude, and even though Rihanna makes great summer jams, it's nice to hear her in a serious song like this.  Well done.

I think the new album's going to be called Recovery. Relapse already happened.
