Douchebag Chris Brown recently took to Twitter to complain about Wal-Mart not carrying copies of his first post-domestic abuse album, Graffiti. Here's what the pile of s*** had to say:

"JUST WAS AT WALMART IN wallingfor CT,844 north colony.. the didnt even have my album in the back...not on shelves, saw for myself"

“We talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had alicia keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin… the manager told me that when there are new releases its mandatory to put em on the shelves.. BUT NO SIGN OF GRAFFITI. BS… no disprespect to alicia at all.. just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week.”

"im not biting my tongue about s*** else...the industry can kiss my a**"

And that's a (sic) on all of that. Not my typos, his. Hey Chris Brown, maybe Wal-Mart isn't stocking your albums because you physically assaulted Rihanna and deserve to burn in hell with Tiger Woods. Ever thought of that? Apparently not.

Brown's Twitter account has now been shut down. Good thinking record company PR people.

Rihanna, Chris Brown Ready Albums

In either a show of unity or an attempt at oneupmanship, former flames Rihanna and Chris Brown lit up the Internet today with information about their upcoming albums.

Rihanna debuted the album's lead single, "Russian Roulette" on her website this morning. The track is another generic Ne-Yo slow burner filled with obvious gun metaphor lyrics. It doesn't seem like the best choice for a lead single. The singer's fourth album, to be titled Rated R, is slated for release on Nov. 24.

For an album due out in just over a month by one of the biggest pop star's on the planet, I'm extremely surprised at how her label, Island Def-Jam, has managed to keep the project under wraps. No one knew she was even working on an album until the message, "The Wait is Ova" was posted on her website.

Also today, Chris Brown posted a collage of pics from his upcoming Joseph Kahn directed video for "I Can Transform Ya". The R&B star has some major PR issues to deal with after news surfaced that he physically assaulted Rihanna, and what better way to deal with it than have a Lil Wayne guitar solo?

Besides revealing the Wayne collaboration, the pictures also show Brown doing his best Kanye West impersonation sporting shades and a long jacket with a popped collar. He is also using anime cartoons for the cover of "Transform". Maybe emulating an artist with heaps of image problems of his own isn't the best idea. Brown's album, Graffiti is set to hit stores Dec. 8.

Chris Brown To Get Massive Unexpected Royalty Check

Idolator is reporting that Chris Brown's "Forever" has sold 50,000 downloads this past week which equates to an astounding 1,721% jump in sales thanks to Jill and Kevin's ridiculous aisle dancing video that has become a runaway Internet sensation. Jill and Kevin are still happily married but, some aspiring YouTube celebrities have put together a video imagining their divorce in a few years.

Save Mariah

Mariah Carey's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel was originally slated for an August 25th release date but, after the cool reception lead single "Obsessed" has received, the album has been pushed back to September 15th.

Mimi's minions, commonly referred to as "lambs", have mobilized in an attempt to rescue their diva's song from its mediocre (for her) chart placing. A blog run by "Allamb" has popped up asking fans to donate their money to purchasing as many copies of the track as possible. Allamb went on to say:

"This looks to be the biggest flop for Mariah since “Loverboy,” which we lambs made a hit by gathering together and buying several copies. We can do the same for “Obsessed.”
I am asking you to make a donation to wannaknowlove@gmail.com. I will spend my time buying several copies of the single. I have already collected $80 from one fan. If you don’t feel comfortable with that, we are setting Saturday as “Obsessed” download day. Please download at least five copies! By the remixes! Mariah needs our help!"

Does Allamb realize that we're in a recession! The key isn't swindling MC fans of their hard earned cash (even though one commenter, LambDahling, boasted in donated $200.00 to the cause), but creating some viral Internet sensation. Idolator has been following one such incident as "Jill and Kevin's Wedding Dance" set to Chris Brown's "Forever" has sent the song hurtling back into the upper reaches of digital music stores. "Forever" currently sits at No. 7 on iTunes and No. 3 on Amazon's music charts.

Does that make you want to go out and buy "Forever"? Me neither. It does make me want to craft some sort of viral video for "Obsessed" that will land me on next Saturday's Today Show, move the song up from its current spot at No. 20 on the Hot 100 and, allow all Carey's fans to donate their money to a cause more substantive.

Have any ideas? Make a clip, upload it to YouTube, and post it here on 17 Tracks. The creator of the best one wins a copy of Memoirs if it ever ends up being released.
Will Brown Ban Last "Forever"?

Authorities have yet to name the female Chris Brown assaulted, but that hasn't stopped every major news source from naming Rihanna. Can you blame them though? The two of stars cancelled their Grammy appearances, and, "in light of recent events involving Rihanna" as her representatives say, her show in Malaysia scheduled for today has been postponed.

Radio stations have begun banning Brown's music and corporate sponsors Wrigley and the Body by Milk campaign have dropped him for the time being. While Britney Spears' recent success has proven that you can bounce back from anything, some aren't so sure that Brown can do the same. Billboard reports, "It's solely up to the fans who buy and listen to music to decide where his career goes from here," says Jeff Anderson, OM of Radio One's urban WCDX Richmond, Va. "In my personal opinion, his clean image has been bruised. But with damage control of an apology and anger management, he'll find a way to bounce back ... if his music is hot."

But what are the fans saying? Brittney G. from Gilbert, Arizona, changed her facebook status to Why, Chris? Whyyyyy?!?!???? on February 10th. Only two days later she changed it again to Brittney is dying. Of course, these two status updates could have no relation to each other whatsoever, but what if they did? The implications are alarming. Another Gilbert resident, Genevieve H. commented that she took down her Chris Brown poster for good :(. Louisiana native Barret B. commented that he was ugh. Sad day. Screw Chris Brown. Rihanna, you can come stand under my umbrella if you need to.

Billboard Releases Their Top Singles, Albums of 2008

Billboard Magazine's year end review of the 2008's top performing singles and albums has just been released and topping the lists were a song and record that were both released in...2007. Flo Rida's "Low" is the chart's #1 single, and Alica Key's As I Am topped the album list. "Low", which spent ten weeks at the summit from January to March, but actually made its radio debut September of '07. As I Am was released only two months later, in November.

Each of these respective chart toppers benefit from the way Billboard defines 2008. In order to meet the constraints of printing the year end issue of the magazine, Billboard's calender year runs from December 2007 to November 2008. This helps Keys more than anyone, as her album sold 1.8 million copies, half of its total sales, between Black Friday and New Years. If last December weren't included in the tally, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III would be the undisputed champion.

Coming in second place for the singles list is Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" giving Lewis the highest year end rating for a British artist since Elton John's "Candle In The Wind" topped the ranking in 1997. Songwriter Ryan Tedder, responsible for "Bleeding Love" will be rolling in the royalty checks as his group, OneRepublic, also scored the #5 song. The most prolific artist is Chris Brown who landed four songs in the top 20 (#6, #9, #10, and #19) while Rihanna managed three (#12, #16, and #17).

Well, she done it. Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" moved up 8 to 1 this week, pushing Usher's "Love In This Club" to #2. If Oprah can do this with Billboard charts, can she do it with an election? "Bleeding Love" becomes the first single by a British artist to top the US charts in the 21st century. The last time this was done, Elton John took "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" /"Candle In The Wind 1997" to the top for an incredible fourteen weeks. Also of note is Chris Brown's three singles in the top ten. Featuring credits can do wonders.

A guy named Flo Rider was just bumped out of the number one spot by Usher. Does it feel like 2004 to anyone else? Usher's "Love In This Club" is his eighth chart topper. "Love" made an amazing 51-1 jump which now stands as the third biggest jump to #1 in Billboard history. The Beatles held this record for 34 years when "Can't Buy Me Love" went from 27 to 1. That seems like a joke these days. Idol winner Kelly Clarkson broke the record with "A Moment Like This" jumping from 52 to 1. Since then, seven other songs have trumped the Beatles old record. Flo Rider's "Low" is now at #2, Christ Brown's "With You" is #3, Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop The Music" is #4 and rounding out the top 5 is Sarah Bareille's "Love Song".
